Herwin Weelink, project manager at SPIE Nederland, is at the initiative of these international sales : “We have established contacts through networks, both at tradeshows, during symposia, and via social media. I talk frequently with the public authorities, and I invite them to demonstrations of our products in Wijhe, but it is a long-term process. “The result speaks for itself : Siemens AG has awarded to SPIE a contract for the assembly and installation of the four barriers VEVA® in Hamburg, two of 100 metres, the other two up to 140 metres. In Sweden also, the contract that was won by the subsidiary of SPIE opens up significant prospects for the future. In fact, the two barriers SPIE VEVA® sleeves are assembled in an urban tunnel in the Swedish capital. “Oslo, with many tunnels of this type, it may be the beginning of a very fruitful series of commands,” says Herwin Weelink.
Jansen Venneboer, a subsidiary of SPIE Nederland since the beginning of the year 2016, has designed the barrier VEVA® in the 1980s, working with the Dutch waterways and public works, Rijkswaterstaat. It was then perfected and certified. Manufactured in Wijhe in the North of the netherlands, the barriers VEVA® are then assembled and installed on site. The subsidiary also manufactures the model CADO®, a barrier of emergency. Of similar orders have recently been placed in the framework of the Velsertunnel in the netherlands, Singapore or Denmark. At the present time, the subsidiary of SPIE Nederland works on books in the netherlands, including the heat exchanger of Wisselbaan (in the direction of Schiphol-Amsterdam-Almere) and the Gaasperdammertunnel.
