Orange is the official partner and exclusive partner in telecom and new media of the 70th edition of the Cannes film Festival

These emotions, Orange is going to make them live as soon as the 70th Festival de Cannes, the selected films coproduced by Orange Studio and préachetés by OCS, the provision of its technological know-how at the service of the Festival, the co-production of the TV Festival, the co-publisher of the official application, the programming special Cannes on the Video at the Request of Orange and OCS.
This privileged partnership for more than 20 years with one of the biggest events of the 7th art illustrates the commitment of Orange in favor of all the cinemas.

Six feature films in the various selections

2 documentaries and 1 animation film in the official Selection, special session : Napalm Claude Lanzmann co-produced by Orange Studio, 12 days of Raymond Depardon and Zombillénium of Arthur Pine and Alexis Ducord préachetés by OCS
1 long-film (pre-purchased by OCS Selection director’s Fortnight with A beautiful sun inside of Claire Denis
2 feature-length films préachetés by OCS in the Selection, critics ‘ Week, special session : A life of violent Thierry Deperetti and Small Farmer (Bloody Milk) for Hubert Charruel.
A Croisette connected

For the first time, the boulevard de la Croisette will be connected to wifi. The Palace of the Festival, at the Martinez, 40 wireless access points will allow the public to connect to live and share their emotions at all times with up to 5000 simultaneous connections. The portal wi-fi will also allow festival-goers to try their luck to win cinema tickets, subscriptions OCS but to also live the unique experience of witnessing the projection of a film in the official competition.

New emotions with the rise of the steps in 360° and virtual reality

For the first time, Orange will be offering a unique experience and never seen before, with the rise of the steps filmed in 360° on its accounts, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube.
Orange is for the 1st year partner of the event NEXT to the marché du film. Very involved in the field of virtual reality, Orange will hold screenings for virtual reality at the Palais des Festivals, with content produced by the biggest studios and producers RV : Baobab : Invasion! and Asteroids !, Innerspace : The 5th sleep, WEVR : Wevr Showreel , Honkytonk/fresh: Legacy. These VR content will be available on the platform Orange VR Experience, experimentation launched in December 2016 in partnership with Wevr.
On may 19, the Orange and the association Beaumarchais-SACD will announce also the winners of The Award #RealiteVirtuelle, a accelerator creation in virtual reality.

In the framework of its partnership, Orange provides the organization with communications solutions from the Festival and, in particular, the ”Wifi Café Orange” . This space of 300m2 within the Palais des Festivals, enables journalists and photographers accredited to work in a warm and friendly atmosphere. They will be able to connect for free to wi-fi Orange from 9h to 23h.
The TV Festival to keep the Festival 24h/24 on YouTube, Dailymotion, and Orange TV
For the 9th year, Orange co-produced, alongside Canal+, the TV official Festival in partnership with the Cannes film Festival. TV Festival allows everyone, in France and international, follow all the latest news from the Croisette in real-time. It will also be broadcast live on Dailymotion and YouTube.
Orange will offer its TV subscribers of Orange an interactive service special Cannes on the chain n°29 (TV Festival, VOD, OCS, exclusive interviews, etc) and disseminate the daily show special Cannes, produced on-site by OCS : Cannes, Series & Cie.
The official application of the Festival de Cannes report issued by Orange
Orange and the Cannes film Festival jointly develop the official app that allows you to experience the event in real-time to the rhythm of the highlights of the Festival. This free app, in French and English, is aimed at a dual target : the general public and festival goers. It is compatible with mobile and tablets, iOS and Android.
OCS 100% cinema series and the VOD Orange to the rhythm of the Croisette
In may, the OCS bouquet 100% cinema series is his finest clothes and invites its spectators to the film festival. To pay tribute to the 7th art, OCS offers on its antennas, a selection of prestigious award-winning films in the previous editions. As every year, the weekly Ciné, Séries & Cie is made daily and is becoming, the time of the festival, Canes, Series & Cie to follow the news of the Festival every day at 20: 20 on OCS Max,
