Delegation from the City of London to secure financial services after Brexit.

A delegation from the City of London, the capital’s financial district, will travel to Brussels this week to put forward a proposal for free trade in financial services after Brexit.

It reports Bloomberg News.

The initiative, led by the former minister Mark Hoban, is independent from the government but is reported to have support from some influential people within the government offices.

Companies in financial services have long used London as a EUROPEAN hub, and relies on the principle of ”joining” in order to sell their services within the EU.

The business leaders are now nervous that the deadline for brexitförhandlingarna, in march 2019, will be traversed before a new agreement is in port.

The Sunday Telegraph reported at the weekend that the prime minister, Theresa May and the government has indicated to business leaders that they are ready to leave the brexitförhandlingarna, for that of the domestic public opinion to demonstrate a tough stance against the EU.

In turn, this would be caused by the EU’s tough demands for the Uk to pay EU bill, of up to 100 billion euros.

At the same time is expected to the treasury Philip Hammond on Monday to hold a speech before the british industry, the CBI, where he will try to calm the concerns of businesses for brexitkonsekvenserna.
