The decision on a new chairman of the u.s. Federal Reserve will within ”two or three weeks”.
It said the president, Donald Trump told reporters on Friday.
Trump said, according to Reuters, he also so far has had four different meetings in the search for a new Fedchef.
Trump has, among other things, met with former Fed board member Kevin Warsh, who is reported to be one of the candidates according to CBS News.
Warsh is reported to be more hawkish than what Yellen is at the present time. Warsch was 35 when he became nomierad to come on board to the Fed January 2010 by former president George W. Bush.
An additional name mentioned on the CBS News is, inter alia, Jerome Powell, John Taylor.
