Colas Inc., through its subsidiary of Barrett Industries Corporation, has completed the acquisition of all the assets of the group Graymont Materials in the State of New York, in the United States.

This group, operating under the brand Upstone Materials, includes a variety of careers, posts, asphalt and concrete plants. This acquisition allows Barrett to strengthen its network in the State of New York, and to position itself as a leader in the provision of materials to the construction companies of the region.
In 2016, the Colas group has achieved 23 % of its sales in North America. With this acquisition, Colas is expanding its geographical coverage in the North-eastern United States and is pursuing its strategy of targeted external growth on the North America zone, which offers significant development potential for the Group.
