The Catalan regionpresidenten Carles Puigdemont said in a speech on Wednesday night that the regional government shall proceed with a formal declaration of independence, writes Bloomberg News.
Carles Puigdemont did not elaborate on how or when the process should begin, but hinted that it might come to pass within the next few days.
Earlier on Wednesday, came the information that the parliament shall discuss the independence on Monday.
In the televised century offered Carles Puigdemont again mediation with the central government in Madrid, which later were dismissed by prime minister Mariano Rajoy.
