From 9 to 14 July, 40 women entrepreneurs from 12 different countries will participate in a week-long program on the topic of leadership and the acceleration of business growth on the campus of the university of Stanford (California, Usa). This program has been designed to meet the needs of these business women ; it offers them a chance to combine knowledge, skills acquisition and development. These women entrepreneurs have been selected for their experience and their growing companies with a broad international appeal.

In partnership with the Women’s Initiative Foundation, BNP Paribas will bring together women entrepreneurs from Belgium, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Italy, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Poland, Switzerland, Taiwan and the United States. They represent a variety of business sectors including hospitality, child development, finance, logistics, real estate, catering and fashion.
This week is particularly rich, and will build on 3 pillars :
– theoretical training taught by the faculty of the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
– visits of companies and an incubator in Silicon Valley.
– networking sessions for the participants to explore possible business opportunities.

The Program Stanford highlights the commitment taken by BNP Paribas in favor of the understanding, the support and celebration of women entrepreneurs. At the end of this 4-year programme, BNP Paribas Wealth Management will be offered to more than 150 women a training course within the Stanford Graduate School of Business and participated in their professional and personal development.

> HONG KONG : Joyce CHANG Founder and executive director of the Spring Learning Centre
Joyce Chan is the founder and executive director of the Spring Learning Centre in Hong Kong. She has designed the centre as a global establishment that is designed to help children reach their potential in terms of development and learning during the crucial years of childhood. She has gathered around her a group of experts, original and passionate, like her, who strive to make a positive and informative each experience of Spring. Pupils participate in a range of activities to stimulate them, and the staff benefits from the know-how needed to optimize this ongoing process.
> FRANCE : Aliza JABÈS – Founder and president and ceo of Nuxe
Aliza Jabès, a woman entrepreneur confirmed, very early on decided to take her fate in hand. At the beginning of the years ninety, it has acquired a small laboratory formulation to Paris and decided to make this the springboard of a brand of beauty products that combine nature and luxury. His philosophy : care for the skin natural and ultra-feminine-based approach to pharmaceutical combining glamour and innovation. Today, thanks to its 45 patents, Nuxe is a must-have brand in the pharmacies and is present in 75 countries.
> POLAND : Katarzyna KOLMETZ – Founder and president-director general of Polipack
Katarzyna Kolmetz is the Founder and president and chief executive officer of the company Polipack is based in Poland. His company, specializing in innovations in packaging, designs and manufactures packaging-to-measure and standard of high quality for the industries of cosmetics and pharmaceuticals in particular. Polipack accompanies its clients throughout the process, ensuring that the finished product reflects the brand values its customers. She is convinced that the people and members of their families are the foundations of its society and they are the reasons of its success. Katarzyna is committed to reducing the environmental footprint of its society in terms of resource use and waste and the company has been awarded several prestigious certificates of quality assurance issued by organizations references in the industry.
> BELGIUM : Myleen VERSTRAETE – Owner of MV Green
Myleen Verstraete is from a family of entrepreneurs, and has purchased his first building to turn it into luxury apartments, there are now more than 18 years. She continues to purchase and renovate apartments and houses, and has to this day, many buildings and apartments that are leased primarily to expatriates in Brussels. Myleen works closely with architects and it coordinates and supervises the work of renovation.
In the past two years, she also became, in Belgium, an investor, and has launched a strong signal by investing in the branding of sustainable fashion MC Collignon, The Conscious Collection. This brand of ready-to-wear helps to contribute to a smarter planet clean by using tissue ultradoux made from plastic bottles, recycled to create a collection of stylish clothing. When Myleen investing, it’s about the long term : his involvement goes beyond the mere financial participation, it is actively involved in the success of the companies in which it has chosen to invest.
