The leaders of a hundred companies, among which Facebook, Google, Apple, Microsoft and even IBM, have sent Wednesday, January 10, an open letter to the u.s. Congress to protect “Dreamers,” those young people who arrived illegally on the territory and allowed since 2012 to work there.
In September 2017, Donald Trump had repealed this program, called DACA (Deferred Action for Chilhood Arrivals), which has allowed hundreds of thousands of young people, arrived in the United States children, study and work without risking deportation. The american president had then given six months to the Congress for them to find a “permanent solution” – the program will formally end on 5 march.
