A decline in the construction production in the EU

Both in the euro area and the European Union as a whole declined in may, the construction production compared to the previous month – the Eurostat preliminary data.

The eu’s statistical office on Wednesday reported that first estimate, seasonally adjusted, the euro zone to 0.7 percent, the EU 28 member states and 1.1 percent fell back to the construction emissions in may.

In April, a monthly comparison, in the euro zone is still by 0.3 percent, the eu as a whole, and 0.2 percent growth registered.

Annually in may in the euro area to 2.6 percent, while in the union a 2.5 percent increase in the construction production.

According to Eurostat data, the largest extent in Hungary, expanded the construction of industrial production in may, the increase in April compared to 7.6 percent last may compared to and 35,3 per cent.

Month in comparison to 3.6 percent in Bulgaria are in second place, ahead of Italy, where 2.7 percent increase in construction emissions in may. Annual comparison also Bulgaria, followed by Hungary and 11.9 percent growth.

On a monthly basis the biggest decrease was from Slovenia, Sweden and Slovakia reported, where 10,6 percent to 7.1 percent and 4.9 percent fell back to the production in may. Annual comparison, the largest decline in Romania, registered (-16,7%) and Spain (-5,6%) and Slovakia (-2,1%).

The statistics are incomplete, because in 11 countries received no may data.
