Sanofi Genzyme, a leading player in this field, agrees with the UNIon for the fight against multiple Sclerosis (UNISEP) to shed light on this debilitating disease. This 9th edition is structured around the theme ” life with MS “.
WEDNESDAY 31 MAY : WORLD DAY OF MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS
Multiple Sclerosis is an autoimmune disease, inflammatory, chronic, leading to a degeneration of the central nervous system. It can affect both the brain and the spinal cord, in different forms.
This disease that affects 100,000 people in France1, said he was most often between 25 and 35 years of age and ¾ of people living with MS are women.
The objective of this day is to inform and support the actions of the network of solidarity to change the look on the disease.

ACCESS TO CARE AND INNOVATIONS

Since 2013, the blue ribbon SEP© has become the symbol of support for people living with MS and their family and friends. The UNISEP calls everyone to wear this ribbon as a sign of commitment and support.
After Paris in 2016, the ribbon of the MS settles down for the 1st time this year in Lyon.
As of 19 may : the wrapping of the facade of the Civil Hospices of Lyon
From 29 may to 2 June : a capsule that reproduces the symptoms invisible from the disease in free access for the general public to Lyon – Quai des Célestins
From 15 may to 15 June : 50 bicycles adorned with the ribbon crisscross the streets of Lyon
And elsewhere in France : a foot race, ” The Run SEP “, in Rouen on may 20 and in Caen on may 21,
AN EXHIBITION IN THE LOBBY OF the CIVIL HOSPICES 3 Quai des Célestins 69 003 Lyon ” SEPas what you believe in.”

The project is born out of a collaboration between the network Rhone Alps SEP, Info Space for Health, the HCL, the association Mandarin, and Sanofi Genzyme.
