The group Air France-KLM (PA:AIRF) has categorically denied Saturday that it had lodged a bid of the Italian company’s troubled Alitalia, in the aftermath of the statement by the Italian government of its possible presence among the candidates.
“Air France-KLM denies having submitted an offer for the repurchase of Alitalia”, said the airline in a press release. The day before, the Italian minister for economic Development, Carlo Calenda, had mentioned his presence to the sides of EasyJet (LON:EZJ) among the three offers to purchase for Alitalia.
