Thanks to the prominent position of Valeo in the field of autonomous control as well as the strong links forged between the Group and the scientific community, Valeo.I will become a major player in the sector and will contribute to the continuous transformation of models of transportation and mobility. The artificial intelligence and deep learning are becoming key elements of response to the challenges posed by the automated vehicles of tomorrow, since the sensors are extremely powerful able to perceive and understand the context in which evolves the car, up to the advanced functions of computer control in complex environments, through smart interaction with users and the capacity for learning through connected vehicles.
By launching Valeo.I, Valeo hopes to attract a broad global scientific community dedicated to developing automotive applications of the art in the field of artificial intelligence and deep learning. In this context, Valeo.I will be based in Paris, in order to establish links and enter into solid partnerships with the best research centers in France and internationally.
Valeo.I will by the end of 2018 a hundred specialists from around the world in the areas of algorithms, infrastructure, process learning, validation and simulation artificial intelligence for automotive applications.
Valeo.ai is registered in the state of mind of open-innovation from Valeo. The ambition of Valeo.I is to be connected to the academic community, and scientific and the world of startups, in close collaboration with the centres of applications for Valeo around the world, in order to jointly develop innovative solutions to the automotive sector.
