The French small, red lantern exports in Europe

This is the Achilles heel of the French economy : month after month, the state of our foreign trade is getting worse and worse. In September, the imports still exceeded exports, if the trade deficit stood at 4.7 billion euros, according to the latest customs figures. Since the beginning of the year, it rises to 48.4 billion euros.

Has this disability, is added another : that of the weakness of our fabric of SMES. Too small, too few in number, they do not always have the necessary tools to export. A new Eurostat study, published on Tuesday, 21 November, brings a new light on the subject. Indeed, it reveals that in the european Union, the weight value of SMES (less than 249 persons employed) in total exports intra-eu amounted to 44.6 % on average.
