The hundred and fifth session of the executive Council of the UNWTO, meeting in Madrid (Spain) may 12, 2017, recommends the nomination of Zurab Pololikashvili, Ambassador of Georgia in Spain, to the post of Secretary general for the period of four years beginning in January 2018.

The recommendation of the executive Council of the UNWTO will be submitted, for ratification, to the general Assembly of the UNWTO at its twenty-second session (11-16 September 2017, Chengdu, China).
