Suicides at France Telecom : a trial for ” moral harassment “

A wave of suicide became a symbol of the suffering at work : nine years after the first complaints, the investigating judges ordered a trial for moral harassment France Telecom and its former boss Didier Lombard, set the case for a comprehensive policy aimed at ” destabilizing the employees.”

To the side of the legal entity France Telecom, now Orange, and his former boss Didier Lombard, the co-investigating judges have referred six other executives and managers in front of the correctional court of Paris, pursuant to the requisitions of the parquet de Paris, according to their order of 12 June.

Louis-Pierre Wenes, the former number two, and Olivier Barberot, the former head of human resources, are referred to “moral harassment” while the four frames are for “abetting” this offence. The judges have chosen the latter their participation as “accomplices” to the policy of the group, even in “the absence of a hierarchical relationship with some” of the employees, a point disputed by two of them during the instruction.
