Paris, France – may 10, 2017 – The annual General Meeting of the shareholders of Sanofi met today, at the Palais des Congrès in Paris, under the chairmanship of Serge Weinberg. All the resolutions submitted to the vote were adopted by its shareholders.

The Meeting has notably approved the statutory accounts and the consolidated accounts for the year 2016. The meeting decided to distribute a dividend in cash, of 2.96 euros per share, whose payment will be made on may 18, 2017.

The assembly also approved the renewal of the directorship of Fabienne Lecorvaisier, and appointed Bernard Charlès president and Melanie Lee as independent directors for a term of four years, i.e. until the general meeting ruling on the accounts for the year 2020.

At the end of this meeting, the new Board of directors is composed of 14 directors, including six women. It is also overwhelmingly composed of independent directors.
