PiezoMotor Uppsala AB (publ) (“PiezoMotor” or the “company”), a world-leading supplier of cutting-edge mikromotorer, publishes today interim report for the first quarter of 2017.
During the first quarter of 2017 grew the company’s sales by 28 per cent compared with the corresponding period of the previous year. After the end of the quarter PiezoMotor signed a patent cooperation agreement with the German company Physik Instrumente (PI). PiezoMotor makes the assessment that the value of the only the licensing and utvecklingsersättningsdelarna in the settlement add up to about 30 MILLION, of which at least 12 MILLION to be paid to the PiezoMotor already in 2017. In addition, through the agreement of future revenues from the sale of PiezoMotors Piezo LEGS®motors to the PI.
“This year’s first quarter and beyond has been a very successful period for the PiezoMotor. Sales growth has continued to be good, we have carried out several important supplies and we have landed a big deal with the world leader in precision rotary axis systems for, among others, the semiconductor and medicinteknikindustri. The collaboration involves integrating our existing engines in the PI’s system – does not engage in research and development of new engines – and I do not exclude that our first supply to the PI might be already in 2018”, says Johan Westermark, CEO.
