Bertrand Traoré who was courted by many european clubs, has signed a 5 year contract with Olympique Lyonnais, that is, until 30 June 2022.
The winner of the Africa Cup of Nations U17 in January 2011, Bertrand Traoré became “International” a few months later, at only 17 years old.
He joined Chelsea in October 2013 that the loan to Vitesse Arnhem (20 goals in 51 games in 18 years).
After a season at Chelsea where he will play 10 matches in the Premier League (2 goals) and 2 Champions League, Bertrand Traore is on loan to Ajax where he will be performing a season very successful, being one of the major elements of a team who will finish 2nd in the Dutch league and who will play the final of the Europa League.
The first two arrivals of Bertrand Traore and Fernando Marçal, in the beginning of the mercato in the summer, confirms the ambition of the Olympique Lyonnais to a workforce that is renewed and high-quality to play a leading role in this new season 2017/2018.
