Mr. Laurent Burelle will be leaving the supervisory Board of Wendel to the outcome of the general Assembly…

Following his election to the presidency of the Afep (French Association of private enterprises) on may 9 last year, Mr Laurent Burelle will be leaving the supervisory Board of Wendel to the end of the general Meeting of 18 may 2017. Mr. Laurent Burelle has decided to put an end to several of its mandates, including member of the supervisory Board of Wendel, in order to be able to devote the necessary time to the Company, Plastic Omnium, of which he is the President and ceo and chairman of the Afep.

Accordingly, the seventh resolution submitted to the general Assembly of Wendel on 18 may next, for the renewal of the mandate of Mr. Laurent Burelle, has become without object and shall not be submitted to vote.

Wendel wishes to express to Mr. Laurent Burelle gratitude for his commitment and substantial contribution to the supervisory Board of Wendel.

At the end of the general Assembly of Wendel, and subject to the approval of the resolutions for the appointment and renewal of Board members, the supervisory Board of Wendel will be composed of 12 members including 5 women, 5 independent members and one member representing the employees, as well as in 2016.

The proportion of women serving on the supervisory Board will be 45 %, exceeding the target of 40 % imposed by the law as early as fiscal 2017. The proportion of independent members on the Board who will also be superior to the recommendation of the Afep-Medef code (33,33%), since it will own 45 %.
