Japan: equity markets finish higher; the Nikkei 225 index gaining 1.80 per cent

Japan: equity markets finished the session higher on Wednesday; the progress of the sectors Paper and pulp, Bus and rail, and real Estate has contributed to this increase.

In the closing session in Tokyo, the Nikkei 225 index gained 1.80 per cent, thus signalling a higher a month.

The best performance of the session for the Nikkei 225 index is to be put to the credit of the title, Nomura Holdings, Inc. (T:8604) up for 10.54%, or 36,0 points for a closing price of 377,5. In the second position, we find Sumitomo Metal Mining Co. Ltd. (T:5713), which is gaining 5.88 percent or 171,0 points for a closing 3.081,0. The title Idemitsu Kosan Co Ltd (T:5019) completes the top three with an increase of 5,66% or 170,0 points for the end of the session to 3.175,0.

Nichirei Corp. (T:2871), sign the worst performance of the session, losing 1,10% an increase of 30.0 points for a closing price of 2.708,0. Olympus Corp. (T:7733) gives up to 0.99 or of 12.0 points and ends at 1.195,0. For its part, Fujitsu Ltd. (T:6702) loose 0,84% is 64,0 points for a closing price of 7.558,0.

The titles on the rise and have exceeded the number of titles down to the Tokyo stock Exchange by 2914 values 607 and 191 stable.

The Nikkei Volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of options of the Nikkei 225 index, remained stable at 0.00% up to 16.92.

On the other hand, crude oil for delivery in August gained 0.37 percent or 0.20 of points, to $54,31 per barrel. Regarding other commodities, Brent crude for delivery in August rose by 0.39% or 0.24 points for a $62,38 per barrel, while gold for delivery in August lost 0.29 per cent is 3.95 points for a $1.346,75 a troy ounce.

The USD/JPY pair recorded a decline of 0.06% to 108,38, while the pair EUR/JPY fell 0.07% to 121,28.
