Nico Hülkenberg, R. S. 17-02 n°27 – Grid : 13th – Arrival : 6th.

“Sixth place is a great result that rewards us all. We had a share of success with the cars rush out of the game from the beginning or a little later : we have clearly benefited. At the same time, we have been able to seize every opportunity that was offered to us and the guys have done a fantastic job at the second stop. It is this that allows me to pass the Sauber. I felt comfortable with the car, but we could see that we still have work to catch up with our closest opponents. ”

Jolyon Palmer, R. S. 17-03 n°30 – Grid : 17th Finish : 15th.

“We have opted for a different strategy, because of my position on the grid. I think I can say that it has not brought what was expected. I have not been able to find a good rhythm with the car at the appropriate time. However, it was better with my last set of tires. My job now will be to sit down with the engineers to analyze the race, while my car will undergo a full review. I am determined to do better in Monaco. ”

Cyril Abiteboul, managing Director

“This is a fantastic result after a difficult qualifying yesterday. This confirms that we should never give up and be ready to seize the slightest opportunity. Nico has benefited from a great start, and his team of engineers has issued the required work during the race. Add to that a little bit of luck that helped us find our way. “We managed the strategy and pit stops. In addition, our pace in the race was better than that of our opponents Haas, Williams and Toro Rosso. It is positive to note that we are making progress in these areas. However, we must continue to work hard to understand how to maximize the performance of the A. S. 17. This weekend was unusual because we were more comfortable in the race than in qualifying. The Grand Prix has been difficult for Jolyon and we are determined to understand how we can overcome this. Cape now on Monaco – a circuit in the unique challenge – with the desire to continue on our upward trajectory. “
