Since 2015, the independent european leader in multi-technical services in the areas of energy and communications promotes diversity and, in particular, the presence of women, still under-represented in technical professions and in management positions. The aim is to achieve gender equality in the workplace, as teams are more mixed, attracting new “high potentials” and developing the skills of employees. Activities conducted at the Group level, such as workshops, and a contest of ideas, to improve the diversity within the teams of SPIE.

Successful launch of the mentorship program
A new concept of mentoring has been developed in collaboration with an external expert. In November 2016, ten individual programs have seen the light of day. All mentors senior and middle support staff in the framework of regular meetings. Lena Reischmann, manager Training and Development at SPIE GmbH, said : “early feedback has all been positive. Even if our mentors are very busy, they are happy to devote a little of their time to others in this context. It is really a priority. ”

SPIE will be present for the first time at the exhibition “Women & Work”, which will be held at the World Conference Center Bonn. On this occasion, more than 7 000 women are expected, in the former German capital on the Rhine. The living room will allow 100 certified companies ” top4women “, including SPIE, to present the career opportunities they offer to women. According to Tanja Romar, co-ordinator of the network So SPIE Ladies in Germany, ” top4women us has been a precious advice throughout the process. Together, we hope to promote women in business and give them greater visibility. ”
