This patronage, for a renewable term of three years, is part of the commitment of Faurecia to promote Research through an ecosystem of scientific collaboration and academic major that may enrich the reflection of Faurecia on its needs related to its two strategic areas: the “Smart Life on Board” and ” Sustainable Mobility “.

Patrick Koller, Director General of Faurecia stated : “The Collège de France is an establishment of teaching and research is a prestigious reference in France and in the world. We are very proud to be able today to share and compare our direction of technology with its experts. In addition to this sponsorship, we also give ourselves the ability to share projects, under a more standard form of partnership, which will enable our two entities to strengthen the visibility of French Research. ”

Through this convention and of the mutual sharing of knowledge, Faurecia wants to understand the major issues and future developments, mainly around two priorities:

Chemistry : in order to build more sustainable mobility, chemicals including “green” chemistry will be sought to build strategies that are more innovative, more effective and sustainable, particularly in the areas of plastics materials, catalysis, emissions, powertrain and battery electric vehicles and hydrogen. Faurecia will therefore receive recommendations of experts-inspired work-of-art College of France, which is conducting an ambitious scientific policy with 3 chairs, gathered in the Institute of Chemistry of the College de France, and more than 100 researchers, phd students and post-doctoral students.
Data science : the artificial intelligence and data analysis are complex problems that will become in the next years the essential elements of the cockpit of the future and significant other value creation opportunities for Faurecia. The support of this sponsorship, Faurecia will have the opportunity to better understand the developments in this area with the lighting science researchers at the College of France.

Faurecia will also be able to interact with the professors of the Collège de France on some technology issues for prospective.
