The EUR/USD pair tried to advance yesterday night and this morning, up to a peak of 1.1217 in the beginning of the european session, but the movement seems not to hold, the pair passing currently under the psychological threshold of 1.12.
Recall that the Euro-Dollar has evolved without trend in a range very close yesterday, insensitive to the coup de théâtre in the trade relations China-USA.
The Dollar was, however, eventually gave way, which had enabled EUR/USD to go up.
Today, the market’s attention should remain focused on the China-USA, with, moreover, an economic calendar fairly empty, since the only statistic potentially influential expected will be the report JOLTS on the job offers US, at 16h.
From a graphical point of view, the peaks of the day at 1.1217 and the old resistance of 1.1225 form a first barrier, before 1.1260 and 1.13.
For the reduction, it will be recalled that the moving average 200 hours, currently at 1.1181, provided support yesterday, and will be considered as the first support near the current level for today.
Lowest, 1.1150, 1.1135 and 1.1100-1.1110 may serve as potential objective in case of an acceleration to the downside.
