Ericsson confirms that it has signed a contract with Hi3G Scandinavia, which in Sweden goes under the name 3, to prepare the operator’s network in Scandinavia for 5G.
Under the contract to Ericsson to upgrade parts of Hi3G’s mobile networks and expand the 4G coverage with Ericsson Radio Systems solution, write Ericsson in a press release.
Ericsson will also expand and upgrade Hi3G:s mikrovågstransmissionsnät with the so-called E-band solutions to prepare for 5G.
Under the contract, Ericsson will replace the operator’s existing equipment to Ericsson Radio Systems, is called it in the press release.
