ENGIE, today announced the launch of its activity in domestic energy in the United Kingdom, thus becoming the largest company to enter the market inside british energy for over 15 years. Building on its international expertise to ensure a range of effective products and highly competitive, the bids have been designed in a double objective : to provide a customer experience exceptional, in all transparency, and bring innovation in the field of connected home on british territory.

In the framework of this commitment, ENGIE is the first provider in the Uk that is committed to offering its customers the lowest available fare when their energy contract is due to expire. In the summer of 2017, the ENGIE will also launch Energy Tracker : it is an innovative product intended to put in coherence, in an entirely new way, the retail price with the wholesale price, reflecting changes in the wholesale price in the invoice of the customers. This alignment of the invoices on the actual cost of the energy brings a new, more fairness and better transparency of prices for customers in the United Kingdom.

The approach of ENGIE in the field of domestic energy is also part of renewable energy : all new contracts provide electricity 100 % green, without any additional cost. For all the customers subscribing to these offers, ENGIE will make a donation to a community initiative programme which invests in local projects that are sustainable.

The strong combination of our knowledge of the country and our expertise in solutions BtoC, we are confident we can provide a new dimension to our british customers : rates are fair, clear and transparent, accompanied by programs of energy saving and cost reduction. ”

This launch in the United Kingdom is consistent with the Group’s ambition, which is to develop customer solutions integrated with the global plan, one of its three engines of growth. By 2020, the Group intends to increase its portfolio of contracts “BtoC” of 30 % and its EBITDA “BtoC” of 50 %.
