Edmond de Rothschild (France) launches Quadrant 2, the second fund of private equity funds limited…

After a first vintage and the strength of its know-how, Edmond de Rothschild (France) is launching its second fund of funds, private equity, Quadrant 2, FPIC[1] is intended to be invested in six private equity funds managed by the Edmond de Rothschild group. This fund will enable private customers to benefit from a diversified investment, normally reserved for institutional clients.

The ambition of the Edmond de Rothschild group through this new vintage is to allow more of its private clients to diversify their assets using an asset class prized for its tangibility and its low correlation to financial markets.

The fund of funds covers various segment of the private equity : venture capital, development capital, LBO,
co-investment, real assets and offers extensive geographical coverage including Europe, the United States and Africa. Its strategy is oriented towards the indirect investment in a significant number of companies in sectors of the traditional economy, biotechnology and life sciences, the emerging markets and the development of the territory.
Quadrant 2 will have an allowance with two components, targeting 6 funds :
– The fund will be invested as a priority in a foundation for allocation of 4 funds offering a strong diversification in terms of geographies, sectors, nature and maturity of the investments.

– On a discretionary basis and based on the level of exercised, the fund will further strengthen its diversification through investment in two additional funds from the platform. In this framework, two projects of specialized funds on the capital development in the andean area (Chile, Colombia and Peru) and in the luxury hotel industry are preferred.

It is recalled that, as of the date of issuance of this press release, Amethis 2, Teka 2, Aina 2 have not yet been removed / created and are projects of funds. The underlying funds in Quadrant 2 may not be directly accessible to investors non-professional.
