Natural Security Alliance, based in Lille, has been created in order to promote and develop a single sign-on solution, simple and very secure, based on the biometrics of the users and on their smartphone.
The association brings together actors and professions from different walks of life banks, traders, industries and of various sizes. The solution Natural Security provides strong authentication of users, for example, to make a payment. “The challenge for our members is to be able to rely on a single solution enabling them to offer their customers an ergonomic the simple to use daily and highly secure,” says Cedric Hozanne, CEO of Natural Security Alliance.
The challenge has been to develop a solution that is extremely secure and yet simple to use, using very sensitive data that are biometrics data of the users. “There is no biometric database centralized. With our solution, each of which retains control of his or her biometric data stored in a very secure manner in a smartphone, through a specific application. It is enough for the person who wants to pay to put his finger on the terminal, biometric disposed at the merchant, and this without even having to manipulate their smartphone”, says Cédric Hozanne. “The solution ensures the correspondence between the fingerprints stored on the biometric reader and stored in the smartphone remains in the pocket of the user during the whole transaction.”
It took more than six years of research and development at Natural Security Alliance to develop this technology, which also works well in the physical world or on the Internet, and that meets all the regulatory requirements in force, in matters of data protection, security, and strong authentication.
Proposed in SaaS mode, the solution is deployed and operated by the teams of EBRC. “This guarantees us a high level of availability for all use across Europe.” continues Cédric Hozanne.
The authentication solution Natural Security is now in the phase of commercial launch. In the lille region, 2 sites are already equipped with: EDHEC Business School, and the headquarters of the bank money market, which had already accumulated since the beginning of the year, more than 1500 transactions.
“The interest of the ergonomic hands-free Natural Security lies primarily in the blending of the checkout. There is more apprehension related to the queues or to the manipulation of its smartphone “, says Cédric Hozanne.
Several actors of the Alliance, including big names such as Auchan, BNP Paribas, Oney Bank, Crédit Agricole, Carrefour Bank, Safran Morpho, Natixis Payment, Credit Mutuel, and many others, consider using the solution to offer an enhanced user experience to their customers, in the field of payments but also for access to online services.
