The EDF Group has received 11 may 2017 with a promise to buy unilateral of PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna SA (company controlled by the Polish State and main producer of electricity in Poland), under which the latter undertakes to purchase the whole of the activities of EDF Polska (cogeneration and generation of electricity).

This promise to purchase has been furnished by PGE following the negotiations initiated in January 2017 with a consortium of Polish companies.
This transaction has been presented to employee representative bodies in the framework of the rules of the social dialogue provided for by the Group and the signing of the agreements will soon be subject to the approval of the board of directors of EDF. Its realization could take place during the second half of 2017, after obtaining the required regulatory approvals, including the approval of the competition authority in poland and the approval of the Polish government.
