Danone announces the sale of Stonyfield Lactalis for an amount of us $ 875 billion

Paris, France — July 3, 2017 — Danone has entered into an agreement with Lactalis for the sale of Stonyfield, one of its american subsidiaries of the fresh dairy products, for a purchase price of us $ 875 billion, representing 20 times its gross operating surplus in 2016. Stonyfield has generated a turnover of about $ 370 million in 2016. This transfer is provided for by the agreement concluded on march 31, 2017 with the us competition authorities (Department of Justice) in the context of the recent acquisition of WhiteWave by Danone.

The completion of the disposal is subject to certain conditions precedent usual, including the final approval by the Department of Justice, and is expected to occur during the third quarter of this year.
