Crossroads : Bompard went to get her cfo at Fnac Darty

A time tipped to lead Fnac Darty, Matthieu Malige joined Alexander Bombard, his boss within the brand’s cultural, governance of the Crossroads. The distribution group announced on Monday his appointment to the position of financial director in replacement of Pierre-Jean Sivignon, who, “faced with difficulties of a personal nature”, has asked to be relieved of his duties.

The CEO of the world’s second largest retailer, Alexandre Bompard, “understands this decision, even if he regretted it” and has asked Pierre-Jean Sivignon to stay at his side as an adviser, said Carrefour in a statement. Matthieu Malige will be for its part “the responsibility of the finance function at the group level and will be closely associated to strategic thinking on development.”

A graduate of HEC already spent at Carrefour

A graduate of HEC and of the School of public works, he began his career at the bank, Lazard Brothers, prior to performing a first-pass at Carrefour from 2003 to 2011, during which he served as the director of finance for Belgium and for France.

He then held the position of chief financial officer of the distributor of cultural products, Fnac, accompanying its ipo in 2013, and the redemption of the sign Darty in 2016, at the side of Alexandre Bompard, who became CEO of Carrefour in July.
