Canada: stock markets finish lower; the S&P/TSX composite index declining 0.26%

Canada: The equity markets have finished the session down this Friday; the downturn in the sectors Energy, Health, and real Estate contributed to this decline.

The best performance of the session for the S&P/TSX composite is to be put to the credit of the title CAE (TO:CAE), an increase of 14,59% or 4.67 points, to a closing price of 36,67. In the second position, we find Alacer Gold Corp. (TO:ASR) and win 4,40% 0,170 points for a close at 4,030. The title Semafo Inc. (TO:SMF) completes the top three with an increase of 3.44% 0.13 points for the end of the session to 3.91.

New Gold Inc (TO:NGD) sign the worst performance of the session, losing 6,54% 0,070 points for a closing price of 1,000. Interfor Corp (TO:IFP) gives up to 4.05%, with 0.54 points and ends with 12.80. For its part, Lundin Mining Corp (TO:LUN) loose 3,97% 0,260 points for a closing price of 6,290.

The titles in the drop exceeded the number of titles up to the Toronto stock Exchange 554 values 489 and 128 stable.

The titles CAE (TO:CAE) have progressed and reached a historical high, after having taken 14,59% or 4.67 points to a course of 36,67. The securities Interfor Corp (TO:IFP) have decreased and reached a low of 52 weeks, after having dropped to 4.05%, with 0.54 points for a course 12.80.

The S&P/TSX 60 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of options on the S&P/TSX composite index, increased 3.02 percent up to 14.99.

On the other hand, the gold for delivery in June lost 0.69 per cent or by 8.85 points, to $1.277,35 per troy ounce. Regarding other raw materials, crude oil for delivery in June was down 0.22% and 0.14 points for a $62,73 per barrel, while Brent crude for delivery in July lost 0,70% or 0.51 points for a $72,11 the barrel.

The pair CAD/USD has recorded an increase of 0.03% to 0,7430, so that the pair CAD/EUR took 0.19% to 0,6660.
