Canada: stock markets finish lower; the S&P/TSX composite index declined by 0.13%

Canada: The equity markets have finished the session lower on Wednesday; the downturn in the sectors Energy, Finance, and Health has contributed to this decline.

The best performance of the session for the S&P/TSX composite is to be put to the credit of the title Cascades Inc (TSX:CAS) up to 13,10% 1.17 points for a closing price of 10.10. In the second position, we find Canfor Corp (TSX:CFP) and win 7,64% is 0,71 points for a close at 10.00. The title Research in Motion (TSX:BB) completes the top three with an increase of 6.11%, equivalent to 0.67 of a point for the end of the session to 11,64.

Precision Drilling Corp (TSX:PD) sign the worst performance of the session, losing to 7,47% or 0.18 points for a closing price of 2.23. Encana Corp (TSX:ECA) gives up to 6.60% or 0.45 points and ends to 6.37. For its part, Kelt Exploration Ltd. (TSX:KEL) loose 6,13% either 0,250 points for a closing price of 3,830.

The titles in the drop exceeded the number of titles up to the Toronto stock Exchange for 536 values to 516 and 120 stable.

The securities Precision Drilling Corp (TSX:PD) have decreased and reached a low , after losing 7,47% or 0.18 points for a course of 2.23. The securities Encana Corp (TSX:ECA) declined and reached a low of 3 years, after a decline of 6.60% or 0.45 points for a course of 6.37. The securities Kelt Exploration Ltd. (TSX:KEL) have decreased and reached a low of 3 years, after having abandoned 6,13% either 0,250 points for a course of 3,830.

The S&P/TSX 60 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of options on the S&P/TSX composite index, has lost 2,03% up to 12.07.

On the other hand, the gold for delivery in August gained 0.46% as either a 6.10 points, to $1,337 registered,30 per troy ounce. Regarding other raw materials, crude oil for delivery in July fell 4.09%, or 2.18 million points for a $51,09 per barrel, while Brent crude for delivery in August lost 0.13 per cent representing 0.08 points for a $59,80 barrel.

The pair CAD/USD has recorded an increase of 0.05% to 0,7497, so that the pair CAD/EUR has made 0.08% to 0,6641.
