Canada: stock markets finish lower; the S&P/TSX composite index declined 1.02%

Investing.com – Canada: The equity markets have finished the session lower on Wednesday; the downturn in the sectors Health care, consumer Products, non-essential, and information Technology contributed to this decline.

With the close in Toronto, the S&P/TSX has lost 1,02%, thus signalling a low of one month.

The best performance of the session for the S&P/TSX composite is to be put to the credit of the title Turquoise Hill Resources Ltd. (TSX:TRQ) increased by 5.77% 0,090 points for a closing price of 1,650. In the second position, we find B2Gold Corp (TSX:BTO) who wins 5.49 percent either 0,180 points for a closing to 3,460. The title Canadian Natural Resources Ltd. (TSX:CNQ) completes the top three with an increase of 3.84% 1.36 points to end the session at 36,81.

Canada Goose Holdings Inc. (TSX:GOOS) sign the worst performance of the session, losing 31,05% 20,69 points for a closing price of 45,94. Canopy Growth Corp (TSX:WEED) abandons of 4.98%, equivalent to 3,000-point and ends at 57,230. For its part, Sierra Wireless (TSX:SW) loose 4,93% 0,86 points for a closing price of 16,58.

The titles in the drop exceeded the number of titles up to the Toronto stock Exchange by 743 values 310 and 128 stable.

Securities Canada Goose Holdings Inc. (TSX:GOOS) have decreased and reached a low of 52 weeks, after having abandoned 31,05% 20,69 points for a course of 45,94.

The S&P/TSX 60 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of options on the S&P/TSX composite index, rose by 30,22% up to 16.03.

On the other hand, the gold for delivery in June gained 0,15% 1,95 points, to $1.279,05 a troy ounce.
