Canada: stock markets finish lower; the S&P/TSX composite index declined 0.03%

Canada: The equity markets have finished the session lower on Thursday; the downturn in the sectors Energy, Materials, and public Services contributed to this decline.

The best performance of the session for the S&P/TSX composite is to be put to the credit of the title Hexo Corp (TSX:HEXO) increase of 6.95% is 0,4600 points for a closing price of 7,0800. In the second position, we find Empire Company Ltd (TSX:EMPa) and win 5,17% or 1,62 points for a closing to 32,97. The title Stars Group Inc (TSX:GIST) completes the top three with an increase of 4.66% on ie 0.99 points to end the session at 22,23.

OceanaGold Corp (TSX:OGC), sign the worst performance of the session, losing 7.75% as either 0,300 points for a closing price of 3,570. Kelt Exploration Ltd. (TSX:KEL) gives up to 7.24%, or 0,310 points and ends at 3,970. For its part, ARC Resources Ltd (TSX:ARX) loose 6,23% representing 0.43 points for a closing price of 6,47.

The titles in the drop exceeded the number of titles up to the Toronto stock Exchange by 565 values 508 and 107 stable.

Titles Empire Company Ltd (TSX:EMPa) have progressed and reached a higher , with an increase of 5.17% or 1,62 points to a course of 32,97. The securities ARC Resources Ltd (TSX:ARX) have decreased and reached a low , after a decline of 6,23% representing 0.43 points for a course of 6,47.

The S&P/TSX 60 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of options on the S&P/TSX, lost to 2.10% up to 12.10.

On the other hand, the gold for delivery in August lost 0.18 per cent to be up to 2.50 points, to $1.412,90 a troy ounce. Regarding other raw materials, crude oil for delivery in August was down 0.19% or 0.11 in points for a $59,27 per barrel, while Brent crude for delivery in September lost of 0.11% or 0.07 points for a $65,46 the barrel.

The pair CAD/USD has recorded an increase of 0.00% to 0,7637, so that the pair CAD/EUR has taken 0.03% to 0,6718.
