Canada: equities end higher; the S&P/TSX composite index gaining 0.64 per cent

Canada: The equity markets have finished the session higher on Wednesday; the progress of the sectors, REITs, commodities, consumer, and real Estate has contributed to this increase.

With the close in Toronto, the S&P/TSX composite index gained 0.64 per cent, thus signalling a higher a month.

The best performance of the session for the S&P/TSX composite is to be put to the credit of the title Cascades Inc (TSX:CAS) increase of 5.14% or 0.58 points for a closing price of 11,86. In the second position, we find Inter Pipeline Fund (TSX:IPL) and win 4,84% or 1,00 points for a closing to 21,67. The title Alaris Royalty Corp (TSX:AD) completes the top three with an increase by 4.58% or 0,860 points for the end of the session to 19,640.

Linamar Corp (TSX:NRL) sign the worst performance of the session, losing 3,31%, that is 1,61 points for a closing price of 47,10. Torex Gold Resources Inc (TSX:TXG) gives up to 2.66%, that is, 0,360 points and finish at 13,170. For his part, Ag Growth International Inc (TSX:AFN) loose 2,62%, or 1,43 points for a closing price of 53,16.

The titles on the rise and have exceeded the number of securities decline on the Toronto stock Exchange by 679 values at 365 and 121 stable.

The S&P/TSX 60 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of options on the S&P/TSX composite index, has lost 4,74% up 10.64, new low of one month.
