Canada: equities end higher; the S&P/TSX composite index gaining 0.40 percent

Canada: The equity markets have finished the session higher on Friday; the growth sectors of Finance, Health, and clean Technologies has contributed to this increase.

The best performance of the session for the S&P/TSX composite is to be put to the credit of the title Aphria Inc. (TSX:APHA), an increase of 14,56% 1,255 points for a closing price of 9,875. In the second position, we find Canfor Corp (TSX:CFP) and win 5,07% 0,47 points for a closing 9,74. The title New Gold Inc (TSX:NGD) completes the top three with an increase of 4.65% is 0,040 points for the end of the session to 0,900.

Uni-Select Inc. (TSX:UNS), sign the worst performance of the session, losing 4,31% a 0.56 points for a closing price of 12,42. Turquoise Hill Resources Ltd. (TSX:TRQ) abandons 3,77% 0,060 points and end at 1,530. For its part, Eldorado Gold Corp (TSX:ELD) loose 3,47% 0.15 points for a closing price of 4.17.

The titles in the drop exceeded the number of titles up to the Toronto stock Exchange by 522 values at 505 and 145 stable.

The securities of Turquoise Hill Resources Ltd. (TSX:TRQ) declined and reached a low , after losing 3,77% 0,060 points for a course of 1,530.

The S&P/TSX 60 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of options on the S&P/TSX composite index, has lost 3.75% on up to 14.13.

On the other hand, the gold for delivery in June dropped 0.09% to 1.10 points, to $1.284,30 a troy ounce. Regarding other raw materials, crude oil for delivery in July rose 1.88% or 1.09 points for a $59,00 per barrel, while Brent crude for delivery in July gained 2,15% 1,46 points for a $69,22 barrel.

The pair CAD/USD has recorded an increase of 0.28% to 0,7441, so that the pair CAD/EUR has taken a 0.02% to 0,6638.
