Canada: equities end higher; the S&P/TSX composite index gaining 0.29 per cent

Canada: The equity markets have finished the session higher on Wednesday; the sectors ‘ progress in information Technology, Industries, and commodities consumption has contributed to this increase.

The best performance of the session for the S&P/TSX composite is to be put to the credit of the title Cronos Group Inc (TSX:CRON), an increase of 11,64% or 2,2500 points for a closing price of 21,5800. In the second position, we find Bombardier Inc. (TSX:BBDb) who wins 9,18% either 0,180 points for a close at 2,140. The title of Shopify Inc. (TSX:SHOP), which completes the top three with an increase of 6.60% is 24,290 points for the end of the session to 392,240.

Peyto Exploration&Develop. Corp (TSX:PEY) sign the worst performance of the session, losing 7,49%, or 0.35 percentage points for a closing price of 4.32. Crescent Point Energy Corp (TSX:CPG) abandons 7,45%, that is, by 0.33 points and ends to 4.10. For his part, Precision Drilling Corp (TSX:PD) loose 6,98% or 0.18 points for a closing price of 2.40.

The titles in the drop exceeded the number of titles up to the Toronto stock Exchange by 619 values to 478 and 103 stable.

The securities Peyto Exploration&Develop. Corp (TSX:PEY) have decreased and reached a low , after a decline of 7.49%, or 0.35 percentage points for a course of 4.32. The securities Shopify Inc. (TSX:SHOP) have progressed and reached a historical high, thanks to an increase of 6.60% is 24,290 points for a course of 392,240.

The S&P/TSX 60 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of options on the S&P/TSX composite index, rose by 2.54 per cent up to 14.95.

On the other hand, the gold for delivery in August gained 0.45 per cent is a 6.00 points, to $1.334,70 a troy ounce. Regarding other raw materials, crude oil for delivery in July fell 3.29% or 1,76 points for a $51,72 per barrel, while Brent crude for delivery in August lost as 0.02% 0.01 points for a $60,51 the barrel.

The pair CAD/USD was down 0.02% to 0,7451, so that the pair CAD/EUR fell 0.03% to 0,6639.
