The period of filing of nominations for the fourteenth edition of the price of the UNWTO award for excellence and innovation in tourism is now open. The list of winners will be unveiled in January 2018, at the occasion of the award ceremony of the UNWTO which will be held at the international tourism fair in Spain (FITUR).

Nominations for the award of the OMT can be presented in four categories : public policy and governance, enterprises, non-governmental organizations, research and technology.
Since their creation in 2003, the price of the UNWTO award for excellence and innovation in tourism are to honor and promote the efforts by organizations and individuals around the world to promote innovation in the tourism sector and enhance the sustainability and accountability of the sector.
