(Investing.com) – After a start to the day bearish, the CAC 40 has gone the way of the increase, and has increased its gains after the positive opening of the markets in the US, with currently a 1% increase.
Recall that the investors have shown some risk aversion this morning, after it has been read the decree signed by Donald Trump, which prohibits companies US buy to Huawei, banning the chinese company of the USA, a decision no doubt related to the climate of tension which reigns in the trade negotiations between the two countries.
However, other factors that are more positive are here to make mention of this situation to investors, with in particular the quarterly results exceed the expectations of the retail giant’s US Walmart (NYSE:WMT), which have helped the Dow Jones to show up in the pre-trade and following the opening, pulling it by the top european exchanges.
The largest increase in the CAC 40 is displayed by Dassault systèmes (PA:DAST) to (+2.20%), followed by Capgemini (PA:CAPP) to +2.25% and Credit Agricole (PA:CAGR) of +2.17%. For the reduction, Valeo (PA:VLOF) losing -2.54%, followed by Renault (PA:RENA), -1.58% and Michelin (PA:MICP) to -1.29%.
From a technical point of view, it should be noted that the CAC 40 today confirmed the break above the moving average 100 hours done yesterday based on this threshold, to head in the upward movement of the day.
The CAC 40 has exceeded the psychological level of 5400 points, which is a positive signal, but it will now monitor the moving average of 200 hours to 5445 points as the next resistance, before 5500 points and then 5600 points.
If a correction is in place, 5400, 5300 and 5250 points will be the first media to monitor.
