Blockchain Partner becomes the leader of the French council on the technologies blockchain. The company intends to facilitate the deployment of applications blockchain in business while providing a cover capable of covering the strategic needs, technical and legal information related to these technologies.
“The activities of Blockchain Partner will be based on three major pillars,” explains Claire Balva, CEO of the new entity : “an offer of support in the innovation and strategy blockchain, with in particular the identification of use cases tailored to each business ; the development of proof-of-concepts and applications blockchain, in a logic of experimentation and then implementation in production ; and a hub of legal expertise to assess the compliance of the projects and to support the legal departments. ”
Experiments for Aéroports de Paris and the SNCF
Blockchain France and the Lab Blockchain already worked together for more than a year. The two startups had set up all the applications blockchain in several companies and institutions, including the Banque de France and BNP Paribas. They have also been selected to jointly conduct experiments blockchain for the group Aéroports de Paris, RCI, Bank and Services, and SNCF.
For Emilien Dutang, Director-General of Blockchain Partner, ” with a consolidated turnover of nearly 1 million euros in our first year in 2016, the last year has demonstrated the relevance of our approach. Our goal for 2017 is now to double our turnover in betting on an agile methodology that allows for an average period of construction of proofs-of-concepts of six to eight weeks. If the goal is to transform these experiments into production, we don’t push the blockchain the blockchain for all : it must meet needs in specific trade, or create new high value-added services “.
To illustrate the practical possibilities of this technology, Blockchain Partner has developed a demonstrator for on-line voting via the blockchain, which will be presented at the festival Futur en Seine from 8 to 10 June. It will show how the blockchain can solve some security problems that currently hamper the development of online voting. Beyond this demonstrator, the start-up will accelerate in the coming months, the development of applications in several sectors identified as particularly promising for the blockchain : banking, energy, retail, or industry.
