Two patients who received the thumbs amputees were treated at the end of may with the Integrums skelettförankrade implant systems (called opra Implant System). The operations were carried out at the Ghent university hospital (UZ Gent), and is the first thing that is done in Belgium. Thumbs and fingers are an area with good markandspotential then there is a significant population who have lost one or more fingers.
