Activities of Lafarge in Syria: three frameworks presented to judges in view of a possible indictment

Three executives of the cement company Lafarge, who is suspected to have indirectly funded organizations jihadists of which the AR to stay in Syria despite the war, were presented Friday to judges in view of a possible indictment, a-t-on learned from justice source.

After 48 hours of police custody, Bruno Pescheux, the director of the factory from 2008 to 2014, Frederic Jolibois, who had taken over the direction of the site from the summer of 2014, and Jean-Claude Veillard, director safety at Lafarge, were brought before the court. The prosecutor’s office in Paris has required the remand in custody of Mr. Pescheux and placement under judicial supervision of the other two frameworks.
