Last weekend, 160 Startup are mobilised to work on a series of challenges related to the customer experience. Berlin, Brussels, Istanbul, Luxembourg, Nanjing, Paris, Rome, San Francisco, Singapore and Warsaw, accompanied by the experts of the Group’s professions, they have developed their projects for the benefit of customers.
Participating in the event, Jacques d Were, deputy Chief Executive of BNP Paribas and co-sponsor of the BNP Paribas International Hackathon, said : “Working with the startup is a collaborative” win-win ” : they help us to provide our customers with innovative products and services and we do take advantage of their ideas disruptive and their methods of working agile. The edition 2016 has already fulfilled his promises, because 9 finalists, 5 are developing their projects with the Bank. For example, Carsift and BNP Paribas Personal Finance will soon launch a tool board in the purchase of car. On their side, with the startup ” Part of Life “, the Retail Bank in France, BNP Paribas and BNP Paribas Cardif will offer, in the second half, new services to help the customer to choose his future home.
After this first weekend, the startup selected will have the opportunity to develop their own solutions during a phase of co-creation. They will be accompanied by the best experts and the resources of the Group in order to transform their projects into operational solutions, serving customers of BNP Paribas.
The BNP Paribas International Hackathon illustrates the acceleration of BNP Paribas in its transformation to digital and takes a pride of place and sustainable in its ecosystem of open innovation.
