WASHINGTON (Reuters) – u.s. president Donald Trump referred to Tuesday, the idea of imposing a fine of $ 1.3 billion (€1.1 billion) to ZTE and said that there was no agreement with Beijing on the provider of telecommunications chinese.

Speaking to the press at the white House, he also suggested a change of direction at the head of the group and the appointment of a new board of directors.

Two sources aware of the discussions had said earlier that Beijing and Washington were close to an agreement that would lift the sanctions, prohibiting us companies from selling spare parts and software to ZTE, the second oem telecom chinese.
