Japan: equity markets finish higher; the Nikkei 225 index gaining 0.33 per cent

Japan: equity markets finished the session higher on Tuesday; the progress of the sectors Textile, Electrical/Machinery, and Chemicals, oil and plastics has contributed to this increase.

The best performance of the session for the Nikkei 225 index is to be put to the credit of the title Chiyoda Corp. (T:6366) increase of 4.32% is a 14.0 points for a closing price of 338,0. In the second position, we find Nomura Holdings Inc. (T:8604) and win 3,74% or 13.2 points to close at 365,8. The title Yaskawa Electric Corp. (T:6506) completes the top three with an increase of 3.42%, that is, 115,0 points for the end of the session in 3.480,0.

Olympus Corp. (T:7733), sign the worst performance of the session, losing 2.93 per cent to be 38,0 points for a closing price of 1.261,0. Tokyo Dome Corp. (T:9681) abandons 1,93%, that is, up 21.0 points and ends at 1.067,0. For its part, Konami Corp. (T:9766) loose 1.75% and is as high as 90.0 points for a closing price of 5.050,0.

The titles on the rise and have exceeded the number of titles down to the Tokyo stock Exchange by 2229 values to 1253 and 233 stable.

The Nikkei Volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of options of the Nikkei 225 index had lost 4.77 per cent up to the 17.16, new low of one month.

On the other hand, crude oil for delivery in July gained 1,15% or 0.61 points at $53,87 barrel. Regarding other commodities, Brent crude for delivery in August rose by 0.66% or 0.41 points for a $62,70 per barrel, while gold for delivery in August lost 0,00% 0.05 points for a $1.329,25 per troy ounce.

The pair USD/JPY rose 0.12% to 108,56, while the EUR/JPY pair has taken from 0.26% to 122,97.
