BIMobject® opens subsidiary in Hong kong

BIMobject AB (BIMobject”) today announces that the company opens a wholly owned subsidiary in Hong kong to meet the growing demand from asian markets and expand its global presence. As newly appointed Executive Business Director Asia leads Simon Cai business from the new office in the IT hub Cyberport and develop the subsidiary’s potential as a key to the asian markets.

BIMobjects board of directors have all experienced more requests from the asian markets. The growing demand comes from both manufacturers of construction products, which creates digital versions of these products – the so-called BIM-objects – and from the users who download the digital items from the cloud platform BIMobject® Cloud. The downloaded BIM objects are then used in real projects and constructions. The fast-growing base of registered BIMobject-users in the region demonstrates a clear need to open an active local office. For BIMobject means the new subsidiary a huge potential whose economic value can not be estimated at present.

The hong kong government has played a key role in the establishment of the subsidiary. Representatives visited Sweden to meet BIMobject at the company’s headquarters in Malmö, sweden. The hong kong government has contributed with help to analyse its market and to form and register subsidiary. Moreover, the government’s representatives assisted the BIMobject to open the office in the physical premises.

The new offices are located in the Cyberport, a centre for companies in the IT and engineering industry has been. Cyberport is wholly owned by the Hong kong government and houses more than 500 different companies. This makes the area the ideal environment for BIMobject and creates the opportunity to nurture valuable band at the forefront of innovative development.

Simon Cais background creates the right conditions for linking BIMobjects sweden-based headquarters and its worldwide network of subsidiaries with a strong presence in the asian markets and to establish the office in Hong kong as a driving force in the AEC industry, i.e. architecture, engineering and construction industries. Even though the office may be expanded in the future comprises the subsidiary only by Simon Cai in the initial stage.
